§ 10-176. Inspections; removal.

  • (a)

    Upon 24-hour notice to the owner, the building official may inspect the contents of any unit at any reasonable time to ensure it is not being used for any purpose not authorized by this article. At no time shall any unit be used for any purpose not authorized by this article.

    (b)

    A unit not specifically related to and being used for storage of the personal property of the owner during ongoing construction on the property shall be removed immediately.

    (c)

    Within five calendar days of the expiration of a building permit, passage of all final inspections, or issuance of a certificate of occupancy, whichever is later, the owner shall remove the unit from the property.

    (d)

    A unit in place prior to the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived shall be removed from the property by the owner or provider within 30 days after such effective date, unless an additional period is allowed as provided in section 10-174(d).
