§ 24-2. Appointment of police officers.

The city council has determined that it is necessary and prudent to employ police officers for the city, whose duties shall be those duties that are generally assigned to policemen and police officers. Police officers will be employed by hiring a process selected by the police chief and shall receive benefits and salary as are established by the city council from time to time.
