§ 34-1. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Alcoholic beverage means alcohol and any beverage containing more than one-half of the percent of alcohol by volume which is capable of use for beverage purposes, either alone or when diluted.

    Glass beverage container means a container for the holding of a liquid for drinking purposes, which container is made of glass.

    Public park means all parks, playgrounds and recreational areas owned, leased, operated or under the control of the city. The term "public park" includes all athletic fields, beach areas, swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis courts and other similar facilities owned, leased or operated by the city.
