§ 46-22. Impounding.

  • (a)

    The city marshal of the city may, whenever he deems it advisable, impound, or cause to be impounded, any automobile or other vehicle parked, standing, or being, in violation of any provision or provisions of this chapter.

    (b)

    Such automobile or other vehicle shall be impounded at a place designated by the city marshal; and a fee set by the wrecker service used shall be paid by the owner of any such automobile or other vehicle to the owner thereof.

    (c)

    The fee is charged as police regulatory fee, and to offset the expense of impounding.
