§ 46-90. F.M. Highway 156.

  • (a)

    No person shall drive or operate a motor vehicle along and upon F.M. Highway No. 156 at a speed greater than the maximum lawful prima facie speed set forth below:

    (1)

    From the south city limit boundary line located 80 feet north of the intersection of John Wiley Road and F.M. 156 (MP 20.369 TxDOT Log - city limit sign) to the south side of the Trail Creek Bridge (MP 19.879 TxDOT Log): 55 miles per hour.

    (2)

    From the south side of the Trail Creek bridge (MP 19.879 TxDOT Log) to a line 105 feet north (MP 19.460 TxDOT Log) of the intersection of Barrett Street and F.M. 156: 45 miles per hour.

    (3)

    From a line 105 feet north of the intersection of Barrett Street and F.M. 156 (MP 19.460 TxDOT Log) to a point 145 feet south (MP 19.011 TxDOT Log) of the intersection of 7th Street and F.M. 156: 35 miles per hour.

    (4)

    From a line 145 feet south of the intersection of 7th street and F.M. 156 (MP 19.011 TxDOT Log) to the north city limit boundary line (MP 18.363 TxDOT Log; city limit sign) located 100 feet south of the south side of Oliver Creek bridge: 45 miles per hour.

    (5)

    Thence continuing along F.M. 156 in a southerly direction for a distance of 0.205 mile, approximately, the point (Station 342+31) being the south city limits of city, a maximum speed of 55 miles per hour.

    (b)

    The mayor is authorized to cause to be erected, appropriate signs indicating such speed zones.

    (c)

    Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in accordance with the general penalty provision found in section 1-10.
