§ 52-426. Public hearing.

  • A public hearing shall be held by the planning and zoning commission before recommendation to city council concerning adopting any proposed amendment, supplement, or change to this chapter. Written notice of all public hearings before the planning and zoning commission on proposed changes in classification shall be sent to owners of real property buying within 200 feet of the property on which the change is proposed, not less than ten days before the date set for such hearing. Notice of the city council hearing shall be given by publication one time in a newspaper of general circulation in the city, stating the time and place of such hearing, which time shall not be earlier than 15 days from the first date of publication.
