§ 6-24. Consumption or possession prohibited; hours of consumption.

  • (a)

    A person commits an offense if he consumes or possesses with intent to consume an alcoholic beverage in a public place, including:

    (1)

    A licensed or permitted premises at any time on Sunday between 1:15 a.m. and 12:00 noon or on any other day between 12:15 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.; or

    (2)

    Any other public place, except within the area boundaries of the premises of a festival or civic celebration when a temporary license or permit for sale on such premises has been issued to a licensee under the terms of the state alcoholic beverage code.

    (b)

    A person possesses with intent if he consumes an alcoholic beverage in violation of this section.
