§ 46-15. Loading zones.

  • (a)

    One loading zone may be established by the city marshal, for each mercantile business in the city, upon request by the owner thereof to the city marshal.

    (b)

    No loading zone shall be for more than one parking space.

    (c)

    Every loading zone shall have painted upon the curb adjacent thereto, the words "Loading Zone."

    (d)

    No vehicle shall be parked in any loading zone for a longer continuous period of time than is reasonably necessary to load or unload goods or merchandise for the business for which such loading zone is reserved. However, this provision shall not apply to the delivery truck of the business for which such loading zone is reserved, if such delivery truck has painted upon the side thereof, the words "Delivery Truck" together with the name of such business establishment.
