§ 48-43. Failure to pay charges within ten days.

The sewer service charges shall be due and payable monthly in the same manner water bills are paid to the city, and such charges shall be paid to and collected by the city water and sewer department. Any person who shall fail to pay such charges within ten days from the date same shall become due and payable and shall be subject to have his sewer disconnected from the city sewer system and lines, and water service shall also be disconnected and no connection shall be made with either the sewer system and lines or the water line until such person shall have paid all amounts due plus ten percent of the balance owned and the actual cost of labor and materials for reconnecting each of the systems.
