§ 12-214. Same—Remodeling existing establishment.
The following procedures apply when an existing food establishment is remodeled:
(1)
The owner will call prior to construction, and the inspector will:
a.
Review new floor plans with owner;
b.
Review change in menu;
c.
Observe new equipment and placement;
d.
Ensure that all nonconforming items are corrected at this time; and
e.
Conduct a follow-up inspection.
(2)
When remodeling is observed in progress during a routine inspection, the inspector will:
a.
Note any equipment/menu changes;
b.
Check removal/replacement of equipment, i.e., (ware wash, sinks/hand sinks/mop sinks);
c.
Note nonconforming items to be corrected; and
d.
Schedule follow-up inspection, if needed.
