§ 8-12. Livestock.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock in an area wherein there is less than 5,000 square feet for each animal so kept.

    (b)

    No livestock impounded by virtue of this section shall be released to the owner until all costs and fees prescribed by this section have been paid and until the person applying for the release of such livestock signs an affidavit that he is the owner of the livestock and entitled to possession thereof.

    (c)

    Any livestock found running at large shall be impounded by the local animal control officer.

    (d)

    Any livestock found running at large that cannot be captured, or after being impounded by the local animal control officer, may be released to the county sheriff at any time.
